Michigan’s Partnership with GetSetUp Inspired Carol to learn how to start a Youtube Channel

In a drive to do something outside finance, she took up the mantle as the AmeriCorps Seniors Director. There she coordinates 106 volunteers ages 65 and older who volunteer for programs such as seniors helping seniors through Senior Companions and mentor programs like Foster Grandparents where volunteers go into preschools through middle schools to help students with special learning needs and emotional barriers.

As a local Michigander, Judy is helping train Guides who help thousands learn technology.

Guides are helping with onboarding and digital adoption in a senior-to-senior empathetic self-paced class environment. This helps to create social connections and community, especially during a time when many seniors are feeling disconnected from others and lonely.
