Our feet are such an important part of our lives. Our feet are the support for our entire body when we are upright. They’re our base, our foundation and most of us have two of them.
Spending our lives in shoes that support and shape our feet, and walking around on flat and hard surfaces as most of us do can create tension in the feet. That tension or rigidity in the muscles can have an effect on the entire body as all of the muscles etc work together and compensate up the chain – from the ground up. Alternatively the tissues can lose some of their required rigidity and become less toned, maybe even a bit floppy and not give the support for the body that is required.
