At times we might face difficulty to do basic arithmetic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division or to learn and recall math facts, such as tables, formulae etc. Possibly, one can also experience higher levels of anxiety and frustration for the same reason.
Mathematics is an essential and integral part of the school curriculum whether it is elementary class or secondary ones. Children who are not good at this might feel that they are less capable of achieving success in the classroom. Similarly, adults with poor math skills are more likely to suffer in terms of career opportunities and management of personal finance. With time these feelings can develop into low self-confidence and low self-esteem.
